Nobody needs to hand over an email address to find out what a pet insurance premium might run, so we kept the plumbing on this site as light as we could manage.
Every number you type into the premium estimator, the worth-it calculator, the vet cost tool, or any of the breed and state pages is processed by JavaScript running in your own browser. Your pet's age, breed, or ZIP code never travels to a server we control. Close the tab and that input is gone.
Google Analytics counts visits, page views, and roughly how people move through the site so we know which calculators and cost guides actually get used. Google AdSense places the ads that keep this site free and may use cookies to decide which ad to show. Neither tool tells us your name, and neither is fed anything you type into a calculator.
The small banner at the bottom of the screen controls whether analytics and ad cookies are allowed to run at all. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers, and you can change it any time by clearing that storage or adjusting your browser's cookie settings.
The contact form is powered by a third-party form relay (Web3Forms). Whatever you type there, name, email, and message, is delivered to our inbox so we can reply. We do not add contact-form senders to a mailing list or resell that information.
Some links on cost pages point to insurers, clinics, or reference sites like the ASPCA or AVMA. A few of those are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase after clicking through, at no extra cost to you. Outbound links to government or nonprofit resources are not affiliate links.
This site is built for adult pet owners researching insurance and vet costs. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
